Qatar Airways' Operations Control Centre is far more than a communications centre.  Being the operational heart of the airline; it co-ordinates, controls, monitors and ensures quality airline operations in order to deliver the airline's product in a safe and efficient manner.

The OCC achieves these goals by co-ordinating, monitoring, and controlling scheduled operations through communications, management and planning.

The goals are to:

  • maximize on time departure of all scheduled passenger and cargo flights
  • while meeting planned service level standards
  • without infringing on legal constraints or compromising safety

We invite applications for the post of:

MOVEMENT CONTROL Supervisor

To provide the communication link between the OCC, Qatar Airways aircraft and related departments.

To establish, maintain and monitor all telecommunications (radio, voice and data link). This includes the exchange between Flight Crew and Maintenance Control Centre for technical problems developing en-route.

To provide outstations with required information regarding aircraft arrival, departure times, delay times and weather information and relay ad-hoc queries to and from the aircraft.

To provide the operations control systems with the latest times and information which is crucial to the smooth running of the OCC.

A High school certificate is the minimum requirement; a degree or diploma would be advantageous. Applicants must have with a minimum of 5 years airline experience and 3 years experience in an airline operational environment. Any experience in working with operations control systems would be advantageous.

The job entails shift work.

Good spoken and written communication and the ability to work under pressure are essential for the position.
