Manager - IT Projects
 
Be the key person responsible for delivery of IT projects & solutions to the assigned business units of Qatar Airways. Contribute to the IT work programme planning for these business units.
 
Incumbent is expected to have good understanding of business domain knowledge and keep abreast of industry trends.
 
Manage projects/IT solutions involving business units of QR Group, suppliers and 3rd parties. Required manage project teams in on-site/offshore models.
 
Ensure quality assurance of all deliverables.
 
Qualifications/Experience
 
  • The candidate should have a Degree or Honours in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Sciences/ Commerce with 8 years of specialised technical experience, ideally within a project based IT environment. 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years as senior resource in IT projects.
  • Good understanding of SDLC processes, business analysis, project management tools and problem solving. 
  • Having good competence in customer services, team leadership, organising and planning
 
Experience in an Airline industry IT applications with exposure to one or more of the domains such as Airline Passenger systems, Cargo, Flight Operations, Airports, Engineering maintenance, HR, Finance etc will be preferred.
