DUTIES:  The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, implementing and maintaining Nortel telephony services; diagnosing problems with telephony or network services and implementing solutions; providing consultation, advice, and other support services to College staff.  He/she must be able to work independently and collectively to find solutions to complex problems.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation of the campus video conferencing systems. He/she will also be required to identify and analyze hardware and software problems and recommend/implement solutions.  

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess strong knowledge of Nortel telephony systems and Cisco products and have completed the Nortel certification (NCSS, NCSE, NCTS or NCTE) and the Cisco CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).   Candidates will need to have a minimum of 3 years experience working with Nortel systems and 5 years experience with Cisco switches and routers, and must also be familiar with the setup and operation of network VLANS.  Experience working the Polycom MGC Manager would also be desirable.  These skills are normally acquired through the completion of a degree/diploma in a computer related program of study with a minimum of five years of appropriate work experience.

NOTE: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the State of Qatar visa process.
